The grounds
Deer may approach the fence. Sunshine may use the favorite corner. Both arrangements are monitored.
From the desk of Management
Ginger keeps the yard, inspects the weather, supervises the biscuits, and makes certain the people she loves remain exactly where they belong: close by.

Meet Ginger
Ginger is a rescue dog, a student of afternoon light, and the self-appointed authority on everything that crosses the property line. She is dignified in public, discerning about snacks, and entirely accidental about tenderness.
Deer may approach the fence. Sunshine may use the favorite corner. Both arrangements are monitored.
Two water biscuits are acceptable. Three demonstrate excellent judgment. A handful will not be refused.
Brown trucks, mail, wind, rain, and thunder are required to explain themselves at once.
Declan continues to live here. This is not official approval. He is, however, warm.

One song has been filed. More are expected. The archive has been built accordingly.

A field report about sunshine, deer, water biscuits, indoor weather, and the quiet work of making sure everyone comes home.

Field report no. 001
Morning gets there first.
It waits where the trees thin out and the ground turns warm. Ginger does not hurry toward it. A lady should not arrive looking impatient.
She crosses her paws. The sunshine makes the necessary adjustment.
Patience is easier when everyone understands the schedule.
The evidence
Gardens, inquiries, inspections, and the occasional administrative rest period.

End of day report
When the yard is quiet and the last biscuit is only a dry memory, Ginger returns to her post: close enough to protect everyone, and near enough to make certain no one leaves without her noticing.
“Everyone always comes back. Because they love me. Maybe I love them, too.”
